Samsung’s Galaxy S8 launched at the end of March, bringing with it a great design, powerful specifications and plenty of new features that you won’t find on the iPhone. The South Korean firm’s latest flagship is perhaps the company’s best smartphone till date, hoping to rebuild the consumer confidence lost by the Galaxy Note 7.
While the Galaxy S8 is indeed a powerful device, but how will it compare to the iPhone 7? Here, we have put together a comparison of the two smartphones to help you decide between iPhone 7 or the Galaxy S8.
#1 Display: Samsung Galaxy S8 vs iPhone 7
Samsung Galaxy S8’s screen is bigger and its resolution is higher.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 has a 5.8-inch display, while the Apple iPhone 7 has a 4.7-inch display so you get quite a bit more screen on Samsung’s device without having a significantly bigger device, largely thanks to the S8’s 18.5:9 ratio over the traditional 16:9.
Samsung also offers a higher resolution than Apple, with 2960 x 1440 pixels on the Galaxy S8 compared to 1334 x 750 pixels on the iPhone 7.
Additionally, Samsung’s smartphone uses organic light-emitting diode (OLED) screen technology, which produces much brighter and more color-accurate images than the iPhone 7 Plus’ liquid-crystal display.
